1/6/13  -In this Moment
walking as a mild rain falls
cleansing and blessing
the earth and me.

Stronger rain ensues
and I return to a warm abode
quietly sitting in a comfy chair
pausing in awareness
to  the sounds around me
dog snoring
clock ticking
tires gliding through wet streets
tv talking from the apartment next door

no judgment
simply listening.

after a while
i pick up my flute
to contribute stillness
flowing into sound
offering my breath
through this reed
as a prayer.
